A Simple Sympathy Card

It's the style of card no one really wants to make, but sometimes we must, and this week I've had to make two sympathy cards.

One of the nicest things about making cards is the opportunity to create a card that is unique and personalised, a card that is especially for the recipient.

I wanted to keep the card simple, so I went with black and white, but I also wanted it to be different to something that could be bought at a discount department store.

I settled on a black card base with white mats and used heat embossing to lift it just a little.

The stamp and die are from the Irresistible Blooms bundle and the single bloom and leaves were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with the new Wow Black Embossing Powder, then die cut and adhered to the front mat with Dimensionals.

To create interest I scored down the left side and across the bottom of both white mats at 1/2", 3/4" and 1".

The sentiments are from retired stamp sets.

All the products in the Product List are available in my online store 24/7.
